Each year we run a Summer Placement Programme starting in July and lasting eight weeks. We typically take on three students with an architectural or visualisation background to join our team. The application process starts at the beginning of April.
This is a specially crafted learning programme that includes a two-week in-house project, followed by six weeks of working on live studio projects under the guidance of our talented artists.
Placement students learn about our workflow and the basics of visual representation of architecture design. They work closely with our entire team under the guidance of the HD Summer Placement Team, Art Directors and Senior Artists.
At the end of the Summer Placement we host a Summer Exhibition. This is an opportunity not only to showcase the artwork created during the programme but also a great occasion to network with the industry's most renown visualisation artists and experts.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our approach and redesigned our curriculum to be able to best serve the students during these uncertain times. We have hosted a variety of online lectures with some of the top UK based universities as well as delivered an HD Webinar on 'Introduction to Architectural Visualisation'. These were followed by HD Portfolio Crits and workshops during which HD Artists conducted one to one sessions with the students, advising on how to best showcase their skills and build a successful portfolio.
This year's format is still to be determined due to the current climate and restrictions, however if you are interested in hearing more please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will keep you updated.
