Hayes Davidson

The Heron Tower

Pioneering visualisation techniques by Hayes Davidson played a key role in the public inquiry and subsequent approval of the Heron Tower at 110 Bishopsgate in the City of London.

The inquiry was a critical test case about the future of high-rise buildings in the City of London, as opposers contended that the skyline and views of St. Paul’s Cathedral could be adversely affected. Hayes Davidson produced visualisation, tracked video and visual evidence to demonstrate the precise extent of the effect of the building on the skyline. The Heron Tower received approval on the 22nd July, 2002.
