Hayes Davidson has a multi disciplinary team with expertise from many different fields. Day to day, skills and knowledge of architecture, interiors, CG, photography, drawing, vision, perception, surveying, mapping, programming and graphics are employed and together ensure a unique approach to projects.

At the heart of the studio are its artists. Hayes Davidson artists come from a wide range of design based backgrounds and share a commitment to the highest artistic standards in architectural illustration. The studio is committed to ongoing personal artistic development, and ensures that every artist has art reviews, skills assessments, training and mentoring.

  • Alan Davidson
    Partner

    Alan founded Hayes Davidson in 1989 creating the first professional practice CG illustration studio specialising in architecture in the UK and continues to oversee the design and refinement of the studio practice model. Alan studied Fine Art and Architecture at the University of Edinburgh and qualified as an architect in 1986. Consultancy and expert witness work include advising on strategies for visual communication and visual perception of the built environment. Alan is an advisor to companies working in a wide range of sectors including communications and future trends research.

  • Lewis Quinn
    Partner

    Lewis joined Hayes Davidson in 2002 and takes responsibility for maintaining the artistic output of the Studio at the highest level. Lewis drives innovation, managing the studio's ongoing research and development program, including the exploration and development of new methods to illustrate and communicate space and architecture across a wide range of media. Lewis has led the studio on a wide variety of high profile landmark projects located both in the UK and internationally working closely with many of the world's most respected architectural practices and design agencies.

  • Simon Navin - Partner

    Simon NavinSimon has a background in spatial and geometrical management and has a history of managing large projects. Simon has led much of the Studio's work on key planning submissions and public inquiries. He has played a significant role in the development of new techniques and methods for planning visualisation and perception and leads the studio's consultation with client's and statutory bodies on emerging guidance and methodology for planning imagery. Simon developed and manages Hayes Davidson's planning QA and ensures that Hayes Davidson consistently delivers the accuracies and precision required on planning projects.

  • Neil Hughes - Partner

    Neil HughesNeil is responsible for the finances and day-to-day operations of the studio. He also oversees the management of the studio's IT and Human Resources functions. Neil originally trained as an accountant and has a background working in major London based post-production digital facilities specialising in film and visual effects.

  • David Bullock - Associate Partner

    David BullockDavid is a graduate of 3d Design and spent the early part of his career developing his visualisation skills working as an Exhibition Designer. David joined Hayes Davidson in 2008 and became an Associate Partner in April 2010. During his time with Hayes Davidson he has worked on and led a variety of projects ranging in size and complexity, working closely with architectural practices such as Zaha Hadid, Renzo Piano, RSHP and David Adjaye.

  • Matt Clinch- Associate Partner

    Matt graduated from the University of Greenwich with a degree in 3D Digital Design in 2005. Matt has worked with Hayes Davidson since 2006 and was appointed an Associate Partner in February 2011. Matt has worked across both the creative and planning sectors with clients that include the British Museum, David Chipperfield, Foster and Partners, the Tate, OMA and Allies and Morrison.
